After purchasing a digital file, you should see a "View your files" link which goes to the Downloads page. Here, you can download all the files associated with your order.
Etsy will also send you a download notification email separate from any transaction notification emails you receive from Etsy and/or PayPal.
Or, to access your digital file(s), go to You > Purchases and reviews and look for the order. To the right of the order, click Download Files. This goes to the Downloads page for all the files attached to your order.

Almost without fail, when this problem is encountered it's because the fonts haven't been properly installed.
To install a font, either right click on the font file and choose "install" or double-click on the file.
But--super important--you not only have to close out of the document, you need to completely restart word.
Most of the time, you should be able to just close the program by clicking the Word icon at the bottom of the screen and choosing "Quit" or "Close Program."
If this doesn't work (but it almost always does), shoot me an email and I'll figure it out for you!
You should (almost) always submit resumes as PDFs. Not only do PDFs preserve your fonts regardless of the recipient's operating system, it also preserves your formatting which--whether or not you're using custom fonts--is crucial for submitting a clean, organized resume.
With any Microsoft Word template, to print a hard copy or print to PDF (if you've got color around the edges of your document), you'll need to:
1. Go to File > Page Setup
2. Click on "Paper Size" and choose "Manage Custom Sizes"
3. Set the paper size to be the correct size for you (US Letter is 8.5 in x 11 in)
4. Set the Non-Printable Area to 0 on all sides (top, right, bottom, left)
5. Select an appropriate printer. For PDF, select "any printer."
6. Go to File > Print and either select "Print" or "PDF" and then "Save as PDF"
*If your printer won't allow you to select custom sizes, your printer may not be able to print to the edge. In this case, you'll want to use a PDF version of your resume or head to Kinkos--or email me for help!
To change the color of a box, double click on it and choose "solid fill." Then select your desired color! To change the image in a box, double click on it and choose "image fill." Then import your picture :)
To change the color of the social media icons I include with template, import the icon into Microsoft Word, resize it to your liking, and then choose the "Picture Format" menu (top left) or double-click on the image.
Then choose "Color" (top right) and select the color you want. If none of the colors displayed are to your liking, choose "More Variations" and then choose a color from the palette.
